The Sims 4 EA App
in order to play
The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies allows your Sims to turn their passions into professions—by opening and running small businesses, pursuing new creative skills like tattooing and pottery, and building a unique life of achievement and independence. It introduces a flexible business system, new skill-trees, a new town, and plenty of hobby-driven gameplay designed to deepen the everyday experience.
Key Features
Own Your Dream Business
Sims can launch small businesses on their home lot or acquire a dedicated business venue. They can define their business’ type, set target customers, charge entrance or service fees, hire employees, and build renown.
Two New Skills: Tattooing & Pottery
Sims can learn the pottery skill—using a wheel and kiln to craft functional items like tea sets or planters—and the tattooing skill, including custom designs and layering tattoos for expression and profit.
Business Alignment & Perks
As your business grows, you unlock a branch of perks tied to your alignment as a “Dreamer”, “Neutral”, or “Schemer”. These choices affect how your business runs, how Sims interact with it, and shape the story of your entrepreneurial path.
New Locations & Social Hobbies
A new world (with distinct neighborhoods) offers venues for hobby meet-ups, skill-sharing, and community connections. Sims engage in hobbies beyond just business—attending classes and lectures, mentoring others, and enriching their life.
Multi-Purpose Lots & Build Mode Support
Business-friendly lots can be zoned for Residential, Employees-Only, or Public access, allowing you to design living spaces, studios, venues or hybrid builds. Build/Buy items support retail surfaces, ticket kiosks, and new décor reflecting creative business spaces.
